How do I pair my child's device?

1. On the Parent device, open Captain's Quarters (unlock with your 4-digit PIN).
2. Tap Pair Crew Device to generate a secure 6-digit code.
3. On the Child's tablet or phone, select Join Crew and enter the 6-digit code. The device will link instantly without requiring the child to enter an email or password.

How does the Doubloon allowance system work?

Parents can set an exchange rate (e.g., 10 Doubloons = $1.00 USD) in Captain's Quarters. When children complete duties and receive wax-seal approval, their Doubloon balance increases. Parents can record allowance payouts with one tap to reset the pending balance.

Does ChoreQuest work offline?

Yes! ChoreQuest is built with an offline-first architecture. Kids can check off morning duties, view their avatar progression, and earn ranks even without WiFi. When the device reconnects, changes sync automatically to the household cloud silo.

Account & Household Data Deletion

We respect your family's data privacy and provide two simple methods for permanent account erasure:

• In-App Deletion: Open Captain's Quarters → Household Settings → Delete Account and confirm with your PIN.
• Web Deletion Portal: If you no longer have the app installed, you can visit our direct web portal at https://chorequest-app-prod.firebaseapp.com, verify your email, and execute complete household erasure.
